    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/xxx/public_html/addonsites/example.com/wp-content/plugins/cf-page-cache/controllers/admin/view.class.php on line 137

    It is a strange error. A search in Google provides mostly developers complaining about the name of the error.

    We will investigate the issue and provide an update.

    The bug should be resolved in the last update.

    The previous version called a class reference from an array. This has probably been the cause of the error.

    $array['controller']::static_method

    Hi cloudduster,

    Thanks a lot for your time to test the plugin again!

    We are very sorry for the issue. The issue was caused by a PHP version related bug in a core that is currently in beta.

    We have added PHP Unit Tests and a Travis CI build test and the issues are now solved voor PHP v5.4+.

    Our company is focused on cutting edge innovation first. We were planning to add dedicated test engineers to the team to convert the innovation into reliable plugins but we didn’t find an engineer yet (there is a vacancy on UpWork). Our test server has just recently been installed so we are behind on that aspect. The plugin was already working well in newer PHP versions. With the new build test, the plugin will be more reliable. Next updates will be distributions from Travis CI after passing more comprehensive tests.

    If you are still interested to test the plugin we are very interested in your feedback / feature requests!

    We are currently developing a more comprehensive test system that will include testing the admin panel (e.g. saving settings) on multiple PHP and WordPress versions, many themes, plugin combinations and on many devices such as Android and iPhone. This will make sure that the plugin performs well in any situation.

    The Travis CI build is currently failing and that will remain for some time but it doesn’t mean that the plugin isn’t working currently.

    More tests have been added and bugs were fixed. The plugin is now more extensively tested using Ruby rspec and Capybara.

    We will soon add cross browser tests to perform the tests on many different devices. This will ensure the reliability of the plugin.
