Cannot activate plugin

    I can’t activate this plugin.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/prevent-direct-access/prevent-direct-access.php on line 332

    I’m currently running WP 5.1.3 due to my server only having PHP 5.3.29 … maybe that’s why I can’t activate this plugin?
