Cannot add a new user to the site

    Hello,
    I haven’t been having a problem with adding new users before, but today I couldn’t add a new user. I tried with various roles and email addresses and still it doesn’t work.
    When I fill in the required fields and click add user, it starts downloading and then in brings me back on the same page with filled in information. It also doesn’t say that there is a mistake or anything like that.
    I don’t receive an email to confirm being a user, neither the user is being added to the all users list.
    I would appreciate any help with this.

  • Hi there!

    First of all, please deactivate ALL your current active plugins, and change your current theme with a default one, like Twentyseventeen, then try to add a new user from your dashboard.

    If these actions solve your problem, then it will be probably a plugin that is not compatible with another one, or is not well coded. Activate them one by one to find which one is causing the mistake.

    oh ok, yes I found the plugin that was blocking new user to be created.
