Cannot add anything new to Website

  • Hi,

    We have recently created our website and it was working fine, however recently we get an error when trying to add anything new to our site, including Pages, Posts, Images, users, text in our SEO plug in. We are not too sure whether this issue has occurred since we migrated it to go live. We have also recently asked our web hosting to upgrade our PHP version to 7 as the site was performing very badly.

    When trying to create a new user, it looks like its completed it but when you go to the users section, the new user we created is just blank.

    When trying to create a new page or post it asking us to submit it for review rather than saving and publishing and when submitting for review it then fails saying we cannot edit the post.

    We also have an SEO plugin, we have tired changing the meta description, hit save and it fails to save and all our work is lost.

    Please note this error occurs regardless of what browser we are in and all our plugins and wordpress are up to date and our template is definitely compatible with the PHP version we are on.

    We would really appreciate some guidance on this please.

  • So, can you describe the error you got? Also you can provide the screenshot of it and the screenshot of the browser console, when you see this error.

    I don’t know how to add the screenshot on here? But when we go into add new page it only has a submit for review button and when you select submit for review it says sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.
