Cannot add categories

  • I cannot find the manage categories panel. The dashboard shows
    Posts: All Posts, Add New
    Media: Library, Add New
    Comments
    Profile
    Tools

    That’s it! There’s no place to add categories as shown in the screenshots I’ve found in the documentation. How do I see the categories?

    Also, is there a way to edit an already published post?

  • It should be in
    Dashboard > Posts > (under where it says Add New) Categories
    If not, there is a problem.

    To edit an already published post, go to
    Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
    Then click on the name of the post you would like to edit.

    So I think there’s a problem. Because I don’t have the option to edit an existing post (I’m only able to preview a published post), and there’s no option to add new categories under posts.

    Are you an admin? Or are you under a different user?

    Thanks for the clue Sage! I’ve now realized there are two different users set up and I was logged in as the wrong one. The category is added, and the old site edited!
