Cannot add colours to event type 2 categories

  • Hi,

    I’m testing Eventon for a client using the lite version. He wants to have 2 event types for two different region but the same categories for both types. For event type 1, I can set a custom event colour for each category but I am not getting that option when creating categories on event type 2.

    Can you please advise if there is a way to enable the colours on other event types?

    Ah yes we currently only have color option for event type 1. We have never seen anyone intersted in colors on both. Usually if you set a event type color, you can override event color with that. And if there is event type 2 color, — the question comes up what would happen now if the event has both event type 1 and event type 2…

    Hi Ashan,

    The event types are essentially to split it into regions (I.e. Manchester, Yorkshire etc) but he wants to have the categories (I.e. quiz, bingo, race night etc) with their own individual colours but available in each event type to make it more uniform if we display individual calendars based on event type.
    Or is there a way to just have a single instance of each category but available to all event types?

    Hello Garath (@gazpugh1 ) As artem mentioned, it is not possible at this moment with current set up.

    I suppose we could add event_type_2 colors in the next update and then allow for event type 2 color override in similar way we do for event type 1.

    Hi Ashan,

    Thanks for that. I am pretty new to Eventon but if there is a an easier way to achieve this, i.e. parent/child categories and event colours, then filtering the outputs, please let me know your thoughts rather than having you do extra work.
