Cannot add Featured Image in CPT UI Post

Can you provide the blob of content that you see when you visit “CPT UI > Tools” menu and the “Post Types” Tab. The stuff on the right hand side of the screen. It’ll get me all of your CPT settings so that I can check things out with.

As is, I’m not managing to recreate the issue, with an import of those settings and clicking to add a new post.

I’m seeing https://cloudup.com/cjEIy1jtnbQ when the editor screen has fully loaded.

I’m curious if you have some sort of other error occurring that’s preventing the metabox/block from loading fully.

I confirmed that featured image spots were loading for all 4 post types in the blob above, but mostly the post type from the screenshots provided earlier.

Indeed I have another site with the same blob and the featured image spot is shown.
Any advice to solve this in that site?

You’ll need to track down what’s potentially causing the issue. I’d check your browser’s dev console for any errors going on and what their sources are. Alternatively disabling all other plugins except CPTUI to see if the issue disappears and then slowly re-enable the plugins one-by-one until it returns.

I tried disabling all other plugins but the featured image is still not shown.
I don’t know what to do now :/

By any chance is this a post type that was previously registered by your theme? Is it possible that it’s still being registered there and the featured image option isn’t set there?

How can I check that? In the theme funtion.php?

functions.php is one place that it may be in, but you’d need to scan through the whole codebase, if you’re not actively aware of it being registered elsewhere. Any files that are being require_once or include via PHP would be worth checking as well, though hopefully the filenames are named appropriately where customizer.php is most likely just handling customizer functionality, and the like.

Ok thanks. But I don’t think that this can be the issue because till one month ago about the fetured image was shown.

Then overnight, it disapperaed. Indeed the previous loaded post in this post type still showed featured image but if I open these to edit i cannot add or edit image beacause in the editor it is not shown anymore.

Something must have changed between now and then and as we’ve established, it’s not the settings used with CPTUI, so something else is contributing here.

Hi. I just find ut that there are a lot of plugins that conflict with CPT UI: ACF Pro, ACF Exended, Display Custom Post, Dynamic.ooo, Elementor Pro, Ele Custom Skin, Elementor Pro, Meta Box, Premium Addon for Elementor, Wordfence Security.

I cannot understand why all these plugins conflict with CPT. Obviously I cannot deactivate all these plugins.

What can i do?

Conflict in what way? CPTUI is pretty lowkey and behind the scenes, with its primary job being to register the content types on the init hook.

Sorry, maybe I said the wrong word. For conflict I mean that when I active even only one of the plugins I listed, then then Featured Image disappears in the block.

Not sure what to suggest at this point, and don’t know why things are disappearing on you with these combinations.
