    hello,
if i am logged in as an editor, i cannot add links to the library. i do have access to the link library and all the fields, that i need to fill out to add a link, but when i try to finalize the link-adding by clicking on the button, the page goes blank and nothing happens.

also i do not have acces to the categories nor the additional link parameters.

and while i’m already asking for help: how do i exclude the time from the date?

    best regards
    lisa

    hello again.
i was able to narrow the problem down to a browser-related problem:

with safari I can’t add links
    with chrome i can

    any suggestions?

This is a strange one. I assume you mean Safari on Mac, and not on Windows, right?

I work on Windows, where they have not updated Safari in 3-4 years. I tested creating links under an editor account in Chrome and Firefox and it worked in both cases.

If this only happens on mac on one browser, I am afraid I will not be able to do much on this one.

My client says, it doesn’t work with IE either. So it wouldn’t be only one browser…
    Any ideas?

Tested in IE 11 on my Windows 8.1 machine and it works correctly in that environment. What version of IE is your client using? It would be very strange for something like this to only appear in a specific version of IE.

What fields is your client filling in when creating a link? I am only filling in the title, address and selecting a category in my tests.

I think he is using IE 8.

Thank you very much for your support, I think it makes more sense to recommend using a more current browser ??

All right. Sounds like that would be a good move in any case.
