Cannot add more than one BCC address if address contains a dash

I found the following post which has been marked as solved when it has not been resolved fully.

If you try and enter more than one BCC address and the address contains dashes it wont send.
Example:
bcc: [email protected], [email protected]
[email protected] wont deliver.
Please can you investigate further?
