• Hi there,

    We have the free plugin installed and our account credentials are in place, however, when I go to add a new video, nothing happens. When I open up the console I can see the following error:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘enqueue’ of undefined
    brightcove-admin.min.js?ver=4.5.3:71

    Something is obviously wrong, and I want to know how to fix it?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    I get the same error and none of the videos from our Brightcove account show up on the videos admin page.

    Any progress on this?

    Any updates on this? I’m seeing this too (Safari/Chrome) on Mac. Plugin completely unusable.

    Hi Sudar,

    The latest version of Google Chrome on OSX.

    I am 99% certain this issue is a plugin compatibility issue. If I try setting up the Brightcove plugin on a fresh new wordpress installation, everything works as expected.

    It would be good to know if the plugin can be updated to use (perhaps) different function calls or something that might be causing the conflict.

    Aaron,

    Thanks for testing this on a fresh WordPress install and confirming that it works.

    As you said, it looks like a compatibility issue with another plugin. Can you give me the list of plugins that are currently installed in your WordPress install so that we can find out which plugin combination is causing this issue?

    Hi Sudar,

    Any chance this can be tested on WPEngine? Plugin working just fine locally (all other plugins on/off) but on WPE I get “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘enqueue'”.

    @ehjaysea,

    That might explain it. I guess there is some compatibility issues with WP Engine.

    I will try to see if I can get access to a server running in WP Engine, meanwhile do you have access to a stage server in WP Engine? Are you facing issues there as well?

    @aaron,

    Are you also on WP Engine?

    Hi there, no we are not using WP Engine. I am not able to list all the plugins being used right now, but I will try later in the week.

    We are using WP Engine as well, for what it’s worth.

    Hi Sudar, I do have access to a staging server and its happening there as well unfortunately. But if you’d like some tests run, let me know.

    Ok, this is strange, but the plugin is NOW working, without any changes being made. I have a feeling an update to some other plugin(s) has fixed the issue. Furthermore, the site has 40 pluins and listing them all here is an ordeal, plus, there are several proprietary plugins on the site which may have caused the problem in the first place.
