I have cleared all cache in everywhere I can think.

what would “Restore Defaults” do for me? what will it remove?

    esmi

    (@esmi)

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    Resetting defaults didn’t help

hope you didn’t mean “in this order” —
updated thru admin to Workpress 2.9.2 — didn’t work.

refreshing plugins folder now will keep you updated.

    (@jbmoxie)

i don’t know what to tell you. all plugins off. plugin folder “refreshed”2or3times switched themes but most including fusion do not have the level of control of mystique. only thing that i have not done is ftp up new wp files. . . (hour or more using godaddy) have updated to latest wordpress package. . . thru admin. . .

this could be anything but went to bed very near finishing 3 month project and woke up in hell.

please advise. would you like a login?

    (@jbmoxie)

when I login none of the Design settings layout style, color scheme, page content width . . . load. . . there is no setting,

and duca thank you for the support.

going to try to reload wp files today.

    Thread Starter jbmoxie

    (@jbmoxie)

I have replaced all of wp-admin and wp-includes manually.
    Still no luck. . .

Again the issue is — I can restore a very current copy the site db, but 1. it tells me I have activated the second sidebar (which I did not)and 2. I am unable to control the column width. so when I submit any changes to the Mystique settings screen — the main/column width sets itself to about 20%.

My guess is issue arose late Monday — when I possibly did not log out of wp and my host performed it’s nightly backup. . .I was using IE at the time.

What do I do now? Please help.

some of your theme files belong to older versions. for some reason they were not replaced when you updated mystique.

remove the theme, then upload a fresh copy of the theme to fix this.

if it still doesn’t work, press the “reset settings” button (this will remove all user css etc)

    Thread Starter jbmoxie

    (@jbmoxie)

duh. . .I reset setting just now and this time it seems to have worked. . . i might take your advice and do the manual update of the theme. forget the backup I will just add this stuff back in my hand. . .

    Thank you for the support!

As I am starting to add back some of my stuff in the settings panel —

I am seeing this a lot dirty=false to most tags. does anyone know what this is and/or where it came from?

yes — I’ll admit it, a lot. (what are alternatives)
I have aptana and use for such things as reading style.css. . .

    This was my problem?

I reinstalled user css — and it hosed again. . .
    there was a whacked out comment. . . slow . . . meh.

ok I am getting there — only thing I am concerned about is the featured area — starred items are not appearing. . . maybe I am missing a setting?
