• Every guide I’ve found says to go to Open Graph and set it so that people can publish an article. The screenshots show a line that has people, then a box, then an, then another box and a button to submit it. When I go to that screen, all I can see is a “Create a new story” button, which appears to only be for custom actions and if I try to enter Publish a Article it tells me I can’t use a custom publish action and that I need to use the common publish action.

    Any suggestions?

Strange, the post works for sharing on my page, which is all I wanted for now. I only have the issue when trying to post to my own FB account.

Hey Wintaru, did you have any success working this out. I am having exactly the same issue. I cant get past ‘Publish’ I get the same error message. Can you or others give any tips on how to solve this for posting to a PAGE.
    Thanks

The page posting works, but I’m not sure how I got it working unfortunately. I was using Chrome on my MacBook Air when I was first setting it up, but on the Social Publisher settings page, there wasn’t a link to set the permissions with my FB account. The next day when I got to work and looked at it again from my Windows 7 machine with Firefox, the link was there.

I still can’t post things to my personal wall and I still don’t have the options like I described in the first post above.

The only thing I was interested in doing is having a post on the clients wordpress site publish on facebook. I had the same issue as Wintaru’s first post but using firefox 20.0. The Facebook docs say that the server has to communicate with them via HTTPS. I’m not clear on exactly how that is supposed to work (what process, wordpress or the httpd) but I’m looking into it.

I will say that this is profoundly (and unnecessarily?) complicated. Why not have a prebuilt app for the wordpress plugin they wrote??? Small sites with small budgets are getting left in the cold.
