Cannot change event background color

Hi,

I am taking over administration of a site that has been using the plugin for the past year. It was never really set up properly, so I’m trying to fix some of the original setup mistakes. One issue I’m having is that I can’t seem to change the background color of the events in the month/day/week views. I believe that some custom work may have been done on the plug-in at some point by a 3rd party developer.

Changing the event default color in the theme options page does nothing. Even changing the theme entirely to a different one does nothing. It seems like this has been baked in somewhere.

Any thoughts on where I might look in the plugin files to try to figure this out? Or might it make sense just to start over from scratch? I’d like to keep the other design elements of the calendar, just not that color (want to go to a white background so we can color-code the event text in different categories).
