Cannot click into visual/text editors or widget boxes

  • So this is quite a bizarre problem…

    I recently activated the MH Magazine theme and shortly after, the following issues have popped up:

    – Cannot click into the visual editor or the text editor in posts (they both appear on the post page, but I can’t click them)

    – Cannot click into widget boxes to expand them so that I can drag new widgets in (this particular theme uses widgets to add sections to the homepage layout, so they’re super crucial to my site)

    – Cannot update to WordPress 4.4 (I click update and it loads a white page that says 0.8.3.

    I have deactivated all plugins, cleared cache/cookies, and switched to the 2014 theme and the problems persist. I don’t believe I’m using any caching plugins that need to be cleared.

    Any thoughts as to how I can fix my site?
