cannot comment on password protected post.

  • i created a password post, and after you enter the password the post comes up fine, but if you click the comment link it asks for the password again, but after you enter it, it remains on that same page, asking for a password. so i and no one else with the password can comment on the post.

  • Are you using the default theme? If not, that theme may have broken it.

    yeah i am using default theme.

    If the website is the one clickable from your name here… no, you are not using the default theme, plus your site is in a frame; and you are using 1.5.

    what do i need to do to fix it?

    Change the names of the fields back to default, specificly the password field in the comments area.

    I have found some references in the forum about password protecting not working with frames and/or iframes…
    Why is your site in a frame? Is this some kind of domain redirect?

    yeah, i have my blog on my firends site, just used a mask for the adress.

    I am using wordpress with a theme called wpg2connections. when I try to create a password protected post, comments are not available. Once the post is unprotected, the comments work.

    this is after I’ve added <?php comments_template(); ?> in the page.php of my theme. Any suggestions?
