• I am trying to install 2.7 on a flashdrive using the uniform server. Did not create a username and password when installing the uniform server. Thus do not know what username and password are. Can someone give me any help in this regard?

Do you have an SQL database?

I don’t have a database yet. This is a complete new install of 2.7 I have now gotten past the username password problem by configuring the mysql name:passord as root:root.

But now I can’t get it to select the wordpress database. The wordpress directory and its files are in \udrive\www I have tried using the name wordpress and root_wordpress, to no avail.

    root_root_wordpress does not work either.

mysql and apache are both running on the flashdrive. I do not really understand your question whether I have an SQL database.

Where and how do I definitize the name of the database? All I have done is stick the wordpress folder and its contents in www.

You need to make the database on your SQL server first. Can’t tell you how, since I’m not exactly sure what you’re running and how.
