    hello, I am trying to connect google analytics within site kit plugin. I get this error: Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-131129656-48), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.

    However, using the tag assistant extension, it tells me no tags are on my site. The ID in the error message does not match the ID in my google analytics account.

    I am unable to see traffic on google analytics. I think this is because I switched to a new theme.

    Please let me know how to fix this error. Thank you so much!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    @jlott33 Unfortunately I am still seeing 2 different Analytics snippets on your site. If you know how to check your source code you can test for that snippet (search for UA-) with another theme active and other plugins inactive.

    with all plugins activated I see three by searching for ua-

    when I deactivate amp, I see two. one of which is the correct. but it says tracking disabled next to it. and the second says tracking enabled: false.

    @jlott33 thanks for your reply. I see reference to AMP_ECID_EZOIC in your source code. Are you perhaps using Ezoic and their AMP features on the site?

    Shoot. I forgot about ezoic. I set it up a while ago but never actually used it. I was integrated via cloudfare. I just disconnected it though. I also went through and deleted it from cloudfare. I wasn’t using it anyway. did that help?

    oh no.. I messed it up. now it says caticles.com’s server IP address could not be found.

    @jlott33 thanks for your replies and sorry to hear that you encountered an issue. The site appears to be live currently. While I do not see the previous code snippet, could you let me know if you were able to connect Analytics in Site Kit successfully?

    hello, yes thankfully I was able to get myself back on the server. whew!

    I see my correct tracking code when viewing source. And it says : “triggers”:{“trackPageview”:{“on”:”visible”,”request”:”pageview”}}}

    site kit plugin analytics is connected and tracking. If I sign into analytics from my google account, I am active and tracking there as well.

    So it seems the culprit was ezoic.

    Thank you, Renee, for stepping in and providing additional insight. Thank you @jamesosborne for helping me again. You’re always so patient with me.

    I appreciate you both, thank you!!

    @jlott33 thanks so much for the update! That’s great to hear things got squared away. Our pleasure to help. Feel free to leave a review about your experience with Site Kit if you like.

    @jlott33 – Thank you so much for your tip of deactivating AMP to connect analytics to the Site Kit Plugin! I’ve tried every approach I could find this week, and the prompt “your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property” made no sense to me whatsoever. Trying to link *my* account, to *my* website? I deactivated AMP, and it worked first try! Thank you so much. (AMP is now reactivated with no apparent issues.) Thanks again!
