I cannot connect to google merchant and it says “there was an error loading your merchant center setup status”. I have deleted and created a new merchant account, uninstalled and reinstalled google listing and ads plug in. But nothing… Anyone know of a better way to sell on WordPress that isn’t woocommerce? It’s such a bigger headache than it’s worth…

    Hi @noandnoandno,

I’m sorry to read you are having difficulties setting up the Google Listings & Ads plugin. Please note that you can use WooCommerce without this plugin.

So far, WooCommerce seems to be the best way to easily sell on WordPress with easy scalability and customization.

If you decide to continue troubleshooting this problem, to better understand what’s happening, I’d like to take a look at your site’s logs.

    To find the generated logs:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs
    2. In the top right corner, open the drop-down and select the latest log file for google-listings-and-ads, then click view to load it. Here’s what that looks like: https://d.pr/i/tCljQd
    3. Copy/paste the relevant part of the log into your response, so we can take a look.

    Thanks!

This is all thats is there

2022-05-20T14:50:22+00:00 ERROR Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\Notes\NoteInitializer::add_notes Google account is not connected.

Does this help explain why it won’t connect? I know that it will run without it but I’m trying to use it for a reason and if it’s available I would prefer to use it. .

    Hey there,

Thanks for the logs. Glad to know you would like to use the plugin.

The logs you have shared so far have suggested two possible causes for the problem you’re facing:

The error Google account is not connected is self-explanatory. The second problem could be due to a fatal error caused by conflict with other plugins. As a next step, Please visit https://www.yoursiteurl.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page try to disconnect and connect your Google account again.

PS: Replace www.yoursiteurl.com with your site URL.

If the problem still exists, go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and look for the latest fatal error log and Google Listing & Ads log with the latest date.

Please include full logs in your reply.

    Thanks!
