Cannot create events page URL two levels deep

I am trying to set my calendar URL two levels deep, like; https://www.domain.com/whats-on/calendar/
However, each time I place the ‘/’ inside the events URL slug it fails to save and tells me I can’t have that URL.
Surely this plugin allows us to change the URL to be a few levels deep?
