Cannot create new post or page

    Hi Guys
    I have WordPress 4.7.3 running Avada 5.1.4 using fusion bulider. Every time I go to add a new post or page it keeps telling me
    You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.
    or
    You are currently editing the page that shows your latest pages.

    It does not give me the correct new post or page to create. I have also disabled the avada and fusion builder and activated the default 2017 WP theme. Still the same result

    Any help would be appreciated

    Have you also tried: deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

    Yes I had also tried that. Took it to vare bones WP 2017 theme and no plugins but still the same.

    Hi
    I managed to locate and fix the issue
    When the sserver was updated to PHP 7 with the latest MySql it did not set the permissions correctly for the user of the database. I have had to reset the required permissions (Specifically Insert)
    This resolved the issue.

    I am facing the same issue. “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.” kindly help me out.

    I have three sites to be exact installed with wordpress.
    Tried disabling all plugins, no luck

    Hi
    Have you just upgraded your server software and installed PHP 7?
    If so double check the permissions for the users on each of the databases

    Earlier the PHP version was 5.6. Upgraded it to 7.0.

    How do i check the permissions?

    in my case it was my sql database that was over quota!
