Cannot Create New User (Author)

  • Create New User error (Author) – User does not appear on list nor is email received.

    I need to Create a new Author for my Divi Blog. When I go to create new user, I enter username and email but the new user does not appear on Users list nor is the confirmation email received. In turn, I recreate same user and error says “User already exists” but doesn’t appear on list nor is the username in the PHPAdmin database wp users.
    Who knows how to solve this annoying issue?

    WordPress version and Theme up to date.
    WP version: 4.5
    Divi 2.6

    *I really need to create an Author for my WordPress site. Looking forward to solving this serious issue. Thank you.
