A client has been having an issue with random people automatically joining their site. They are looking for review emails, but by the time they get the email, the person was approved already. I tried to go into the user settings to fix it and found it set to Auto-approve. I changed it to “require review” and much to my dismay, there is no button to save the settings. When leaving out of the page and coming back, it is set to “auto approve” again. I tried to simply work around this by creating a new user profile and once again, that was pointless as there is no button to save the profile. Please advise.

Do you have a right side column with “Role Priority”
where the “Update Role” button is found?

Try to do a Theme/Plugin conflict test if your Theme
or additional custom code in the functions.php file
or another Plugin is causing a conflict with UM.

@missveronicatv The right column is not showing nor can I scroll the screen over to see it. The Column to see the permissions is all pushed over to the left side and there is a big gray gap on the left.

I have attached screen shots so you can see what I mean.

I see no need to do a test on the website at this point as it has been working fine up until the last update and we have been using it for years. So if there is a conflict now that cannot be resolved, it would be time for us to move on as we cannot, at this point, sacrifice our theme or any of the other plugins we have been using (again, for years). We just have to keep moving.

There were a lot of changes for the UM backend coding in the last versions of UM and a conflict test is of interest to find and fix any UM conflicts.

Looking at the browser network info for the Login page at nlracine.org
I found two possible issues.

1. Can you try to use HTTP/2 instead of HTTP/3 for testing this issue?

2. Do you have any CDN caching active which is not cleared after the update?

Can you also try to enable PHP error logging if the debug will give some more info about this issue.
