Cannot Declare Fubction Error

    Hello Folks,

    Please I got this error on my website:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _excerpt_render_inner_columns_blocks() (previously declared in /home/latentop/public_html/wp-includes/deprecated.php:4223) in /home/latentop/public_html/wp-includes/blocks.php on line 725

    Please could anyone help with how to fix this error?

  • It seems like the update to 5.8 is incomplete and not all the files were correctly saved. The function _excerpt_render_inner_columns_blocks was in the file wp-includes/blocks.php in WordPress 5.7, and it was moved to wp-includes/deprecated.php in WordPress 5.8. In your installation it is in both of these. I suggest you run the update process again, and perhaps the manual update would be the most appropriate here.
