Cannot delete ad as a non-registered user

    Hi,

    First off: great plugin!

    We’ve gotten a few complaints from end-users about how they cannot delete their ads — after entering their email address & Ad Access Key, they click on the Delete Ad button and get the following error:

    There was a problem trying to delete your Ad. The Ad was not deleted.

    On the settings page, the User Ad Management is off and we are not requiring that users register in order to post/edit/delete ads.

    Do you have any insight on how I can go about fixing/troubleshooting? The whole purpose of us using this plugin is so that ads can be managed by users completely w/out having to spend time moderating.

    Sorry that you ran into issues here!

    The best thing to try at this point is our latest dev version which is releasing soon and see if this behavior persists.

    Sorry that the problem seems to persist here…

    Have you tried a conflict test yet? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with AWPCP, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://awpcp.com/forum/faq/how-to-test-for-plugintheme-conflicts/

    Hi AWPCP,

    Thanks for the link — per the instructions, I’m having a theme issue.

    How do you recommend we troubleshoot it?

    When we enter our email/code and go to edit the ad, we see the Delete button. When we click on the Delete button in our theme, we get the error message.

    If I click on the Delete button while using the default WP theme, I get another red box asking if we are sure we want to delete, then we can delete the ad successfully.

    FYI: I’ve used Theme Check and have fixed some issues, however I’m still not able to delete an ad from the front end.

    We’ll handle this in email now just to avoid confusion.
