• When I try to remove the “enabled services” from the Sharing Settings, it will not allow me to save the changes. So now I’m stuck with an unwanted share ribbon under all my posts.

Is this a bug in version 3.2? I’d really like to get rid of these share icons!

Can anyone help with this? Here is a screencast of the problem, in case that helps: https://www.screenr.com/KSUs

This is something WordPress needs to fix. How hard could it be to add a “disable” button to the feature?

I have the same problem. I wish to use an alternative sharing button, but I can’t have both on the page.

In this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/disable-sharing?replies=4 it is suggested that the share buttons can be removed by disabling all of them in ‘Sharing settings’. This doesn’t work – it leaves a share button on the page with on-hover properties. This also appears in the settings ‘Live Preview’.

A solution to this problem would be appreciated. We should be able to disable this feature.

    Regards

    P.S.

I know the ‘Share’ feature can be disabled in the page/post editing area, but this can involve a lot of extra work – there should be a global settings to disable.

    P.P.S.

There is only one way to disable this feature, and that is to disable the entire Jetpack plugin – ok if you don’t need any of the other Jetpack features, but not entirely satisfactory.

Thanks, Terry. I’ll give it a shot…hopefully there aren’t any Jetpack features I can’t live without.

To disable the “share” feature, click the “Learn More” and the “disable” button will appear.
