    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Apparently the server which hosts your WP site failed at downloading this JSON file. The fact that you were able to download it with your browser is a sign that the problem comes from your server, not RFG.

Do you have some security plugins of some kind? Maybe such plugin prevents connections (although a timeout is a bit awkward… a security plugin should throw an error immediately).

How is your WP site hosted? If it is self-hosted, do you have security mechanism in place that might prevent such connection? If you use a provider, which one? You should contact them and tell them you got a timeout when a plugin calls wp_remote_get. Note that the URL of the JSON file does not work anymore, which is normal: all data are removed after a few hours.

Yeah, I’m using CloudFlare and already tried turning it off temporarily but that didn’t help. I also called my hosting provider and they said they aren’t blocking anything.
Is it possible to manually download the json file and then import it locally?

    Thanks!

    Very frustrating ??

Unfortunately, no, there is no way to “inject” this JSON. What I added to the TODO list is the ability to type HTML code and upload favicon package directly. So you’ll be able to go to RealFaviconGenerator.net directly, get your package and go back to your WP dashboard to install it. But I won’t be able to release this feature any soon.

Right now, the only advice I can give it to uninstall the plugin, go to RealFaviconGenerator.net directly to generate a package and the HTML code, and install it by following the WordPress Codex doc.

    Sorry I can’t help here :-/

I don’t think this issue can be fixed once for all. I’m closing it. However, don’t hesitate to post again if you feel I can help.
