Cannot download website

Hello,
I am trying to download a copy of my website for backup but for some reason when I click DOWNLOAD the browser inspector tells me that the operation failed.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the plugin, but nothing seems working. It is weird as originally I created the website in local and then migrated to remote.

I noticed that the site is 1GB (don’t ask me why as most of the resources are linked from outside).

Did anyone have a similar issue?
How did you sort it out?
