Cannot download WordPress 2.8

    I was hoping to create a new blog from scratch and decided to start fresh by installing WordPress 2.8. I’m unable to download the zip file – downloading never completes and the rate of downloading is also snail-like. Can anyone advise on what to do or should I just wait it out?

  • Just downloaded 2.8 from the download tab at the top of this page and it took only a few seconds.

    thanks michael i tried again and it worked. guess it’s a case of downtime.

    I am having the same problem. It will take a while for the download window and then when it pops up it downloads at a rate of bytes/s and the file ends up being corrupted and only 7kb when it is done.

    I tried on in firefox and ie and on my friends computer too and the same thing happens. Hopefully it is just a matter of downtime. This happens no matter what version or beta version I try to download.
