• Hi-

    I recently upgraded WP to version 2.1. It had been working fine. As of this morning, I can begin writing a post, but as soon as WP autosaves the post, I am no longer able to access the “body” field of the post to continue writing.

    Please note the following:

    1. I experience this error both in Firefix and IE 7;
    2. The browser gives me an error (lower left corner) which indicates: that access is denied from Line 173, Character 290; and
    3. I have already tried re-uploading wp-admin/post-new.php, but still receive the error.

    This error has been reported at the wordpress.com forums at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=6162. The advice provided there was “It sounds like this will require staff assistance to rectify so please send in a feedback with a link back to this thread.”

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Note: I have also upgraded a second blog to v. 2.1. At the moment, that blog is not experiencing the same issue and I am accessing them both from the same PC and browser.

    This is a problem that is associated with the domain of the URL. I’m not sure of the details yet, but it’s to do with the browser’s security rules on cross-domain access. Try adding or removing the “www.” subdomain if you have one. IE7 and Firefox will be told to use a specified domain somewhere in that JS which doesn’t match the domain in the URL to your post-new.php page.
