• When I login to my website admin page (southernohiomfg.com/wp-admin), there is no navigation bar or edit capability. The website is useless even as an admin.

When I tried to edit the website’s php code from the database, the changes still never showed up on the front-end.

I am new to WordPress but just bought this business and need to update the website’s contact information ASAP.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • After logging in to the backend, you should see the admin bar above and the menu on the left. If you do not see either of these, you are logged in, but you are not an administrator but a simple user without any rights.

You would have to contact the admin to solve this, who would also have to make your account an admin.

I would not recommend making changes to content in the database directly.

I am an administrator and do not have any menu to the left. We have tried logging on under multiple users who are admins and the only menu available is at the top and has the WP logo that takes you to “About”, “Learn”, “Support”, etc. but never any edit capability or left-hand menu navigation.

Try calling /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page. This should take you to the page administration. Is this the direct way?

If not, does any message appear?
