When I try to enable the page cache, I get this error message: “Could not turn on the WP_CACHE constant in wp-config.php. Check your permissions.”

It is true that the permissions for the file do not allow editing. I can’t change this, it’s controlled by my provider. But the constant already exists in the wp-config file and is set to true, so there is no need for it to change.

How can I still enable the page cache, even though the file permissions are not granted?

Can you check the permissions for your wp-config.php and ensure they are set to 0644?
