I am completely new to WordPress so I will apologize for that and any naivety from the start. I am designing a page using Canard and would like to achieve the five tiled images look that is seen in the demo. You know, the images seen above all of the rest of the featured and regular posts on the home page that link to to individual posts. I realize that my page is brand new with only test content (https://thatsentertainment.wordpress.com/) but I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting and cannot figure out how to achieve that look.

Nevermind. Figured it out. Had to type “featured” into the customizer.

I don’t understand how to feature images. No images appear on my home page.
    Where did you type “featured”?

odfortner – the Canard setup guide explains how to add featured posts:

    Featured Content and Featured Images

The homepage allows you to prominently display your choice of up to five posts in a crisp grid. Select which posts to display with the “featured” post tag, or designate a different tag in Appearance → Customize. The Featured Content area displays when your front page is set to show your latest posts – use it to make sure your best articles get noticed.

Canard displays posts’ Featured Images prominently in both the Featured Content area and above post and page titles in the normal layout, quickly grabbing your readers’ attention.

Since you’re running on WordPress.com, that’s all you need to do.

For self-hosted folks, you would need to activate Jetpack to access Featured Content in the Customizer.

These forums are for people running the WordPress software on their own hosting, but you’re hosted on WordPress.com.

HI…I’m not clear on how to feature content on the homepage. Specifically, where do I find the featured post tag. How do I get that crisp grid!

Teri802nj – you are the one who decides what tag you want to use for featured posts. You then follow the directions in the guide above to add the tag in the Featured Content panel in the Customizer, and add the same tag to each post you want to feature in the Tags area of the post.

If you need further help, could you please provide a link to your site running Canard?

I recently exported then imported the content on my blog from one host to another. Now I cannot access my site at all. I had an email sent to get a reset link, however, I keep getting an error message saying “too many requests”. How can I rectify this?
