Cannot filter for authors in Gutenberg

  • I’m on WordPress 5.8.1, and I can no longer filter for users in Gutenberg. Even though the user exists, it will just keep saying “Sorry, no matching authors found.” I switched to a default theme and deactivated most of the plugins, leaving only ACF and CPT UI, but the plugin still doesn’t work.

    Update: this problem is not limited to Gutenberg. Also doesn’t work in the quick edit panel.

    Hi, it has also stopped working with the classic editor. Until the update of WP 5.8 it was going very well, but now it can’t find most of the authors … some yes and others no … and I can’t find a pattern why…

    I have the same configuration (with PHP 7.3 and 7.4) and is working like a charm… Maybe try localy a new WP install
