cannot find uploads

  • Thumbnails are displayed correctly in the “write post panel” in Dashboard. When I click the thumbnail, I get the following message: Safari can’t open the page “https://wp-admin/upload.php?action=edit&ID=246” because it can’t find the server “wp-admin”. A similar error with Firefox.

    I believe this started to happen after I re-uploaded the wp-admin directory to my host.

    When I approach the wp-content/uploads directory with an FTP client it appears to be empty whilst I am pretty sure that there is at least one file in that directory.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

    I desperately want to get rid of this error message, but have no clue where to look. Is there maybe somebody who could point me in the right direction? Thank you.
