cannot get api – won't let me past T&Cs pop up

    Thought I’d post this here for help and in case any other noob has the problem.

    Never used HGoogle developer tools before – logged in to google – went to Google APIs Console. Created new project. See services list. Click on Webfonts Api option at bottom of list to enable it. Pop up appears asking me to accept T&Cs. Check box and click accept.

    It won’t accept it – no error message the Accept T&Cs box just pops up again and again. Tried accepting it 20 times – tried different browser – nothing works.

    Must be missing something obvious – pls advise if you can.

    This sounds like a problem for Google to solve. Have you tried a different browser? I’m guessing Chrome would work the best.

    You can use this plugin without the API key, and you will get the fonts as they were at the end of 2013. There are 657 fonts built into the plugin and 657 fonts available from Google, so you may at the very most be lacking a few styles.

    So just skip the API key step until Google registration works for you.

    Google kind of break things, then fix things, and with little fuss. It can sometimes take longer to fix things they break than it should, because there is simply no way to tell them about it.

    I’ve not been able to enter a business address into Google for months, because the address fields are all looking up the wrong data (county instead of state, then not letting me find a street because the state is not set – it’s rubbish). But is there a way to report this? No. So I just wait. It’s frustrating.

    I’ll close this ticket as “out of scope” as there is nothing I can really do to help, except keep the font list in the plugin as up-date-date as I can.
