    Hi,

I’ve written a support ticket for this issue in the past, and I see others have as well. This is an ongoing issue that I haven’t been able to resolve for years.

If you go to my homepage, you will notice that the post thumbnails in the featured posts section and the recent posts section are all over the board. Some are at the default kale theme size (not sure what that is), and the others are at 760 x 400, which I had specified with the Simple Image Sizes plugin, which was recommended to me a while ago. Problem is, when I go to reprocess all of the images to the 760 x 400 size, not all of the images change and I am left with a hodge podge of sizes.

How do I get them to either be all the same larger size or all back to the original default size? I need to get this fixed once and for all, because it looks really unprofessional and sloppy.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi thepanickedfoodie.

Thank you for contacting us and for using our theme.

This is the relevant part of our documentation – https://help.lyrathemes.com/article/336-ideal-image-sizes

Basically, a 1200×800 image used for the featured image would generate all other images to be exactly the same size.

You can also install the Simple Image Sizes plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and use it to regenerate kale-thumbnail size.
Yes, I know that it is old, outdated and untested… but it works.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards.

    Ok.

The Simple Image Sizes is what made my site a mess initially, because it didn’t tackle all of the images. I have reran it several times since, and nothing has changed. Am I rerunning the wrong one? My featured images (the ones at the top of the post), are all ok. It’s the images that are appearing on the front page of my blog, and on the category pages. So if I go into the simple images plugin, what is the name of the image group? The options are: medium_large size, wprm-metadata-1_1 size, wprm-metadata-4_3 size, wprm-metadata-16_9 size, post-thumbnail size, kale-slider size, kale-thumbnail size? I’ve been just rerunning the post-thumbnail size, and is that wrong?

Regarding the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, there are two buttons to regenerate the thumbnails. One is for all attachments, and the other is for Featured Images only. I am assuming the first one?

What you should refresh is the kale-thumbnail size.

I’m fairly certain that once you trigger regeneration of those from the Simple Image Sizes plugin, and it finishes its job, that all of them would be the same size (provided that the image was of sufficient dimensions to start with).

Please let me know how it goes.
