    Hello Bernhard,

Thanks for this great plugin. I need some help getting the feed to display in my page. I am using a local JSON source and it’s loading fine in the plugin. I have also loaded the JSON feed using your other great plugin JSON Content Importer, so I know the JSON source is fine. My problem is that when I make add the div tag in my page, I only see the text within the tag or the ‘initial placeholder’. It doesn’t display the actual JSON data. I have tried all the combinations using different DOMs (h2, div, etc).

Here are some screenshots of my setup – I hope you can shed some light.

Happy to contribute if I can get this simple setup working. Thank you!

    Hi, sorry for the delay.

“Where on a page the data should be displayed: DOM-Pageselektor”
is empty in your settings. This is the place for
    div[id=”status1″]

    Leave
“Initial Loading: Set another DOM-Pageselektor (e. g. a wrapping div-box) which is hidden until the first successful API-Ajax-Loading.”
    empty…

Hello, it’s still not working for me. I followed your instructions and I still don’t get updates in the page. I had a closer look at the example on your site, and I noticed in your header that you are loading a js script from the plugin’s directory. This was not present on our site’s pages – maybe the plug-in isn’t adding it automatically? Anyway, I added it manually but I’m still not getting the updates to the page. What could I be doing wrong?

    Hi,

can you post the url to your page here. Or in private at:
    https://jsoncontentimporter.freshdesk.com/widgets/feedback_widget/new?searchArea=no

yes of course, you can see it here:

    https://www.gigtv.com.au/json-test/

Note that there are two blocks there – the first is using the Auto Refresh plugin, the second is simply using the JSON Content Importer (just using it as a test).

    thanks

    Hello,

sorry for the delay. I just released a new version which hopefully works better.
My guess is, that if the parameters set in a special way some conversion fails. Update your plugin and try it again, please.

There should be a line “var autorefreshapiajaxparam =…” in the pagecode.
This was not at your website, but must be there…

    Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve installed the new version, but I still have the same result: it only shows me the “initial placeholder.” I see on your example page, it’s the same thing – it only shows the placeholder:

    https://json-content-importer.com/auto-refresh-api-ajax/

I’m not sure where I’m supposed to add “var autorefreshapiajaxparam =…” — in which page code and where? And what value is supposed to be in the parameter … ?
