Cannot get rid of W3TC output in main-sitemap.xsl

    I’ve been trying to generate sitemaps for my site with Yoast SEO plugin. Unfortunately, it does not play well with W3TC as it dumps comments in main-sitemap.xsl making it impossible to render this file. I cleared all caches, deactivated W3TC, deleted all W3TC files.

    Unfortunately, the W3TC comments still remain in main-sitemap.xsl. I am not able to get rid of them even after the plugin is long gone.

    How can I purge my site of W3TC output? Will appreciate your advice.
