I have tried for more than 24 hours, to set up simple shipping zones and classes but one zone doesnt work. I set up woo as shop customer base. I set up and connected 1 product as large class, then 4 zones in order to ship it to Auckland, Nth Island, South Island, and Australia. (because each of the 4 zones cost is different.)
I ticked shipping to Default to customer shipping address
I enabled calculate shipping box to appear on cart.
I added 4 zones, for each geographical area as mentioned above.
I live in Auckland, my wp-admin holds my auckland address as a user, and I tested buying a product. when I enter my own address, it brings up a shipping option with the correct auckland cost of shipping. Thats fine. Then if I try to test North Island zone, by changing the calculate shipping address to any other city, it calculates correct. Then, when I try entering a South Island Address, it doesnt bring up any shipping options in the cart at all. There is absolutely no difference in the way sth Is was set up, to the other zones. Why does it not work? I also have the similar problem with another site I am building at this same time, https://www.feelgoodnow.co.nz/cart. I created 4 products all free shipping so just one class for that. One zone for all NZ. but it cannot find even the auckland address shipping options. its crazy.

Hi @webdesinz. Are you still facing the issue described:

Then, when I try entering a South Island Address, it doesnt bring up any shipping options in the cart at all.

How are you using shipping classes in this case? What is the store address and what are the shipping methods set up for South Island? What address are you using to test? Please share a screenshot of the setup for the South Island shipping zone.

I created 4 products all free shipping so just one class for that. One zone for all NZ. but it cannot find even the auckland address shipping options.

For this site, what is the store address and what destination shipping addresses are you using for testing? Also how are you using classes and how is the shipping zone set up?

I recommend using a tool like https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL(s) in your reply.

Thanks for your reply, yes still having problems. I dont quite know how to answer your questions. Is there someone willing to login to look in the admin area?

    I also have another error.
Not been able to stop one of the free shipping options, from being selected from the cart, for other categories that are not meant to qualify for that particular free shipping. i.e.
Normally accessories can only be free shipping if over $200. But because there is another special category (small router guard) that is being offered free shipping for $170 – then the $170 has become the default threshold cost for everything in the cart, which is wrong. So we just had a customer purchase $175 of accessories and they got a free shipping popped into their cart…unh.

I think I fixed the issues, it was zones missing. And the other problem, my client decided to charge a flat rate which was easier, and I think I have applied it correctly. Could you test it out from the front end? thanks.

Hi @webdesinz. Good to hear that you have resolved the issue. You should be able to test it from the front end in a private window or in another browser using the your destination address and a test address for South Island. You didn’t provide those addresses ??

I’m going to go ahead and mark this issue as resolved. Please start a new thread if you have any other questions.
