Cannot get the block editor’s List View on mobile

  • When editing a post on a mobile device, there is no way (that I can find) to access List View. In the site editor, if List View was selected to appear by default, it is the panel where the site editor starts. Once you dismiss it, there is no way to ‘bring it back’.

    Is this a bug? Or, am I overlooking something? I checked as much documentation as I could find to no avail.

    On a mobile device in the Editor, click the three dots in the upper right corner. Scroll to the bottom and click Preferences. Select General, then toggle “Always open in list view.”

    You may need to back out to the Site Editor menu and go back in to the the list view.

    It’s clunky, but it works.

    Yes, I mentioned that in the question. Which remains, how do I get List View back? Clearly having to exit and reenter is not a user-friendly situation.

    I apologize for not reading your question more thoroughly. But yes, that’s the only solution as it stands now.
