• Hello all, about to resort back to wordpress.com if I can’t get this to work. I’m extremely frustrated so I apologize for my anger lol.

I have downloaded the wordpress installation, unzipped it into a new folder on my desktop.

I have ran the GoDaddy WordPress Application set up. This created a database for me that I can access and login into at phpmyadmin, all the tables are there.

I edited my config file for the past 3 hours and it is correct.

I uploaded everything to my server which is located at godaddy.com

When I navigate to my website (www.comicblurb.com), nothing shows up accept for the godaddy landing page for not having anything in there.
I know I’m suppose to navigate to: https://comicblurb.com/wp-admin/install.php but I get the same error. I’v tried smashing my keyboard onto my monitor but all that did was break my keyboard.

THE ENTIRE WORDPRESS DIRECTORY IS IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF MY WEBSERVER.

No matter what page I navigate to it displays nothing. I have been struggling for 3 hours and am beginning to think that this is physically impossible.

I’m done trying, I have tried everything, it won’t display any PHP errors or do anything accept for go to the godaddy landing page.

    Please help…

By the way I just got finished uploading a fresh download of wordpress and this of course did nothing.

Your difficulties at the moment are related to Godaddy rather than WordPress.

//comicblurb.com/ See where it says “Is this Your Domain”?

If you click it, you go here: //www.godaddy.com/domains/activate.aspx?isc=GPPT02C030&domain=comicblurb.com

Where it asks: “Ready to activate your domain? Log in.”

If you have done that, contact support at Godaddy so they can walk you through whatever problem you still have with your domain access.

Could this possibly be related to the nameservers?
I have had this domain working before with a blog I attempted to create in PHP.
I then created a wordpress.com account so I changed the name servers to the WordPress ones.
Once I realized that I want to be working with www.ads-software.com, I switched the nameservers back to Godaddy’s.
Was that the correct thing to do?

Just called GoDaddy, apparently the IP Address setup with my DNS was wrong and they had me add a new one in, hopefully this fixes the problem.

    Thanks ClaytonJames

I think propagation can take as much as 24hrs to a couple of days sometimes. Here’s something interesting:

What factors affect DNS propagation time?
“When you update the DNS (Domain Name System) records in your domain name’s zone file, it can take up to 48 hours for those updates to propagate throughout the Internet. While we strive to make updates as quickly as possible, the DNS propagation time for your domain name depends on several factors that we cannot control”

If that doesn’t fit into your timeline, contact Godaddy support.

    [edit] Nevermind. ??

    Howdy,

I have ran the GoDaddy WordPress Application set up.

If you did that, there is no reason to upload your own WP files .. it not only sets up the database but installs WP ??

And as ClaytonJames says above, it can take a while for the DNS to propagate; I’ve has some take over 48 hours.

    Cheers!
    Lyle
