Cannot get wp-admin installed, Bluehost thinks DNS problem
-
I followed the step by step instructions on how to install WordPress and according to Bluehost my website is not pointing to them, but to www.ads-software.com, and I still cannot get the wp-install to work.
This is what I sent to Bluehost: “I am trying to connect using an FTP to my server, and I keep receiving errors.
I am also having troubles with my new installation of www.ads-software.com. Once I go to the https://www.horrorbridearchive/wp-admin it gives me a 404 not found.
Can you provide any assistance? I have tried a multitude of things, and nothing has worked. This is the error I receive in FTP using Filezilla:
Status: Connecting to 74.200.244.59:21…
Status: Connection attempt failed with “ECONNREFUSED – Connection refused by server”, trying next address.
Status: Connecting to 74.200.243.251:21…”And this is what was sent back:
“I am showing that the domain name (horrorbridearchive.com) is not currently pointing to the Bluehost servers. They seem to be pointing to www.ads-software.com servers at this time. The FTP and inability to access the wp-admin are both related. You will need to speak with WordPress, though, in order to determine the cause, but as the information for both these issues are indicating connections issues, and the server is currently pointing to WordPress, I suspect there is an issue with the DNS or how the site is being pointed. “Can anyone elaborate on this and advise how I can test/fix this. I’m new to this whole thing.
