• I am extremly frustrated.

I have been cursing, screaming, ripping my hair out over a minor inconvenience that I should not even be ripping my hair out.

I cannot copy paste embed links from youtube into my wordpress editor and have the videos appear.

Problem is that I *have* made them appear by doing funky stuff in the “code” entry of my post. I would really really really like to find out how to get directly at the html. WTF? Then I would not have any problems.

The times I have gotten it to work I have done weird things like adding extra <p> tags in the code portion. I don’t want to talk about it anymore, I’m done.

I hope somebody can help despite my really bad attitude.

  • This is an easy one, but I request that you please remove your offensive Tags before I help. Not only are they offensive, but they do not aid others searching for a solution to this same problem.

Hey Keldwud, make sure you’re using the “embed” code that YouTube provides on their site for your particular window. When you’re pasting the code in your page/post, make sure it’s on the “HTML” or “Code” view. Finally, when you post the code from YouTube, delete the very last tag “/object” or something. This worked for me.

Try a plugin called smart youtube it’s very easy to embed videos with it.

Hi there, I agree with shsh1345
smart youtube is about the easiest way.
as long as you remember to change the link to httpv
    hope it works out.
    mike.
