• Resolved tangerinewp

I am using WordPress 3.0.1 in the child theme of twenty ten weaver. I have had an ongoing problem limiting my posts on my blog’s front page. When I set the limit to admin>reading to 15 posts, it lists the first 15 in descending order, then starts at the very beginning and proceeds to list every single blog post I have ever written–all on the front page. I deactivated all my plug-ins, and nothing changed. I have no ftp access since I have wordpress through network solutions. Is there any place I can adjust the code, and if so, what would I do to override this problem and only display 15 posts on the front page? I am desperately seeking an answer to this. My site is adellaavenue.com.

  • Have you tried reinstalling the theme? I just downloaded the theme myself and tried it out and it is only showing 15 posts on the front page and then the remaining amount of posts on subsequent pages.

    just an observation:
the posts on your front page are all ‘sticky’ – that is quite a lot; did you set them all to be that way?

Well, this definitely goes to show you how green I am. I literally thought “sticky” meant something else..duh. I finally was able to resolve this because of your helpful observation. Thanks so much.

Maybe this should be another thread, but I am using ComicPress and moved the blog to a separate page then the comic appears on. I used to be able to limit front page posts with a switch in the settings. Now that I moved the blog to a different page, I can’t limit the posts. Anyone know how to limit posts after moving it like this?

    Thanks for any help,
