• Resolved barrelleaf

Hi, I was using the plugin just fine a few weeks ago. But when I was about to use it today, I found that the dashboard couldn’t load. I’ve tried to clear the cache and used the incognito browser, but the issue persists.

    Hope it can be resolved.
    Thank you in advance.

I’m not a pro developer or anything but the problem has to do with the latest version of jQuery in WordPress 5.6. File manager is not compatible with this version.
Follow the steps below to fix the issue for now:

Step 1 – Download the plugin called Enable jQuery Migrate Helper. It’s made by the WordPress developers as a stop gap for several plugins with this issue. Activate the plugin.

Step 2 – In your Tools menu on the admin page, go to jQuery Migrate, and under settings change the jQwery version to Legacy 1.12.4-wp. Save changes. This will allow you to get to the main file manager window.

The WP developers stress that this is a stop-gap fix and could cause other issues later on, but it has worked very well for me thus far.

I use the file manager every time nearly every time I log into my website, so I really hope they fix this issue soon. Other than this rather major hiccup it has been a lifesaver.

Same issue here. I am seeing a fatal script error in the console when trying to view the File Manager:

Uncaught TypeError: this._addClass is not a function

    see screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KupvRYN

Tried the above suggestion of enabling the jQUery Migrate plugin and it seems to cause an additional error:

Hi there. I’ve waited for the new update but it’s still not there yet.
Could you please let us know if the conflict problem will be fixed soon or it requires more time?

    Thanks.
