    Following deletion of the plugin, I ahve received notification that a file remains and needfs to be deleted manually:

    /home/cp[zzzzzz]/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php

    However I cannort see a file within the folder …public_html/wp-content/ – just more foldfers, no individual files. What is going on?

    Did it look like that email came from WP Super Cache? It will say something like “WP Super Cache was removed from your blog or deactivated, but some files could not be deleted.”

    The plugin did indeed have problems deleting that file, but perhaps another plugin deleted it or your host did. That file is used by other caching plugins and they may delete it when they’re activated. If you can’t find it, I think that’s why.

    Found abd deleted – I just needed to show hifdden files.
