I did try the password reset function, with the email link.
WordPress never sent a confirmation email.

Does that take a little while?

Depending on your email client, it may, but not normally…WP should send it right away, so unless it’s bouncing around in cyber-space, or it’s setting in your SPAM folder, then you still may need to reset this directly in the database…and look at what admin email you have entered in the database while you are there…it could be wrong.
