Checked spam, no such email being sent to any address that I can imagine ever having been associated with my WordPress account.

Yesterday, had to “reset password” several times EVERY TIME I attempted to access WordPress for ANYTHING, today I can post in forums but can’t access the page I’m trying to configure.

Sorry but bullshit claim of “5 minute setup” is a lie. I’ve been trying since yesterday afternoon to get this set up and this is my 3rd attempt over the lat 4 years to get it set up, STILL no success. Can’t see why everyone thinks it’s so wonderful?!

OK, got the password reset email after 20 minutes or so. Followed steps to reset password, saved it, got message that it had been successfully saved, tried to log in, got message that brand new password I just created is incorrect.

I just love spending 12 hours a day chasing my tail on a dysfunctional, broken website.

if you are receiving the same formatted email from the same address over and over in a short period of time .. it is likely that your spam filters will kick in.

You should not need to reset your password unless you lose it.

If you are not on a shared or public computer

Save your password in your browser settings so they will be filled in automatically… or maybe write it down.

    I’ve highlighted something you’ve posted.

It really sounds like you are mixing up your account in the support forums with the account on your self-hosted WordPress installation.

The account here (the forums) and the account on your installation are not connected and have nothing to do with each other. Resetting the password in one place does nothing for the other.

Thanks for the response. That was part of the problem, and another part of the problem was that each time I asked it to send me the reset password email, the email would take 15 minutes or so to some in so I thought I had entered an incorrect email, as I was not seeing it come in. Eventually I did get it set up and am in now, and after much assistance from my webhost, (they had to go in and change the memory settings for the domain to resolve all the error messages I got when attempting to change themes or configure anything), WordPress is now installed properly on my domain.

    Apparently my reply disappeared…

Thank you for the response, it was a combination of problems. That was part of it, also the reset password email was taking 15-20 minute to arrive each time so I thought I was entering an incorrect email or that it was being blocked for some reason, as I did repeatedly check the spam folder.

    Resolved now, thanks again.

Looks like it was accidentally deleted.
