    Hello,

I am testing the free version of Youzify. I created several test accounts and I use private browser to do any tests so it doesn’t save anything from previous tests.

I had a log in issue with one of the accounts and now whenever I visit the log in page, even before doing anything, it gives the error: “Too many failed login attempts. Please try again in 12 hours.”

It’s still possible to log in, but the error message still shows no matter what.

I have already set the log in permissions to no log in amount limit and no lock outs. Even if the user can log in, I don’t want people to think that they won’t be able to log in, and abandon trying.

Similarly, on the registration page (mysite.com/register), there are two error messages that appear even before doing anything, it says:

    ERROR:?The username field is empty.”

    ERROR:?The password field is empty.”

The error appears as soon as one lands on the page.

But it is still possible to register.

    Can you help?

    Hi @stephunique,

    Thank you for reaching us.

Please use this snippet to reset the limit login attempts:

    https://gist.github.com/KaineLabs/05b81666631cf207ff0a219275c35e1b

To know where you can add the snippet, kindly check this article:

How to Add Custom PHP Snippet?

After you can log in, please remove the snippet, and you can disable the it on Youzify panel > membership settings > login attempts settings.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.

Thanks for the suggestion for resetting the log in limit. I think you may have misunderstood.

The problem is not that I cannot log in. Actually, I can log in. The problem is that the error message is showing no matter what, even when I am able to log in.

It’s been over 12 hours since I tried previously, so right now the error message does not appear. I have followed the instructions about the snippet, I cannot tell if it worked because it’s been more than 12 hours since I tried previously and maybe it reset by itself.

About the other issue, the error message also shows no matter what. I will create a different support ticket for this so it is clearer for everyone.

I will mark this as resolved.

    Hi @stephunique

We never found any error case regarding your report. At the moment, we also can not replicate the issue on our staging site. If the error happens again on your website, could you please share with us a screenshot or screencast regarding this? So we can have a clear idea regarding this particular issue.

In addition, if use any caching plugin, please try to clear it to see if this issue relates to the aching problem or not.

    Best Regards, KaineLabs Team.
