cannot log into dashboard

  • I tried to install the styles plugin into my twenty eleven theme. i did’nt update my wp 1st and now i get this message when i try to log in
    Styles requires WordPress 3.4 or newer. Please update.

    it wont go to my dashboard so i can resolve this problem, any help would be appreciated

  • You can disable that plugin using FTP to rename that plugin folder.

    thank you David but please could you elaborate a little please, i am nowhere near an expert on these matters but i can follow instruction

    Append “-debug” to wp-content/plugins/{styles plugin folder name} (Rename the styles plugin folder to something else).

    That would temporarily de-activate that plugin.
